Yesterday our class discussed about the pigeon problems in New York City. Here is my view on this issue.
I agree with Brooks hawkins when he says that it makes no sense to fine people who unintentionally feed pigeons by littering. If you sit in a park and eat your lunch. You drop some food on the ground, and the pigeons come to pick up them up. Is this your fault? I don't think so.
But Justin Samara may also be right in saying that althgou one thousand dollar fine may seem too much, it will make New York residents more aware of the serious nature of the problem.
I also worry about the pigeons in New York City. I know there may be too many of them now. But they are already living in the city now. If we all stop feeding them, what will happen to them? I cannot see all these lovely birds die from hunger.
So I am not sure whether it is a good idea to stop feeding these pigeons and let them die of huger. They were born here. They are also residents oof this city. They have rights to live here too.
Live and let live. Does this saying make sense to you? It does to me.

My First Day in America
I came to America on January 16, 2006. When I arrived at the air port of America, I was very excited. Coming to America and living inNew York had long been my dream. Now I am here and it is ture. I told myself, but still couldn't believe it. Am I in a dream? I looked around and took a deep breath. Wow! The air was fresh, although a little chilly. This is American air! I told myself. Is it different from my home country's air? I took another breath, but wasn't quite sure. Maybe. Maybe not. I thought. But I felt great. My brother and sister-in-law were waitting for me outside the Exit. My brother drove us back to his home. The bobysister was
cooking food for lunch. Soon the lunch was ready and we ate together. It was Chinese food and it was very delicious. So food is not a problem in America! I thought. Then my brother told me that Cinese food is available only in some big cities like New York, Los Angelas, San Francisco. So we are very lucky to live in New York. After lunch, my brother took us to register. Then he showed me around the New York City. What a beautiful City!
